I had a rough December. December is rough anyhow because there doesn't ever seem to be enough money between Christmas presents, Holiday gatherings, and higher heating bills. My mom's birthday is Christmas day and she passed away 3 years ago so we all still feel a little funny in December. My dad died rather unexpectedly two weeks before Christmas in New York and I was in Nashville. Of course I had already budgeted and bought all my presents and everything else before I got word that dad died. Thanks to National I was able to drive to Charlotte and pick up my little sister. She lost her job a month earlier and money was tight for her also. We decided that we would have to drive and it would be good because we could spend the trip with each other and go through his death together. It's a long drive. We made the most of it. We laughed and cried, stopped and ate all kinds of junk, and drove straight through. We needed lots of gas, and food, and that was just for the trip. I also needed to pay somebody to dogsit and watch my house and leave plenty of food for all concerned until I could return home a week later. I also wanted to get flowers for my dad because he was perhaps the best dad anybody could have ever had. By driving we were able to bring back things with us to always remember him and the time we spent together meant so much to each of us. You just don't ever know when something like this will come up. I really may not have made it if it weren't for National Payday. I made the call and the next day I was able to leave. I didn't have to worry a bit. Thanks National.

My husband drives nights delivering auto glass and I am always worried about him. I was laid off the beginning of December and shortly after our cell phones were suspended. I took a loan out in order to turn our cell phones back on so my husband could be safer when he was out at night. I don't know what I would do if something happened to him and thanks to National Payday he had a way to get a hold of me if something went wrong.
I am the perfect person to give four hundred dollars to. I have been layed off for two months now and I have been having a very hard time trying to pay bills, come up with money to put food on the table, and try to stay in a good mental state while doing this. If I would recieve four hundred dollars or any money for that matter I would use it to pay my bills that are behind before I become evicted from my home, my car becomes repossed, and my electricity is turned off. I would never be more thankful. I really hope that you make the right decision and help someone in need. Thank you for having this contest!

I was a bridesmaid in my girlfriends wedding and the wedding was in a weekand a half and due to a lot of weight loss I did not fit into the dress even after several alterations and I was not getitng paid for another two weeks and was so upset and did not want to make my firend aka bridezilla upset anymore!!! so I had to get a payday loan and you guys came ot the rescue and the dress was altered and bridezilla was still bridezilla but not at me!!!
Dear National Payday,
I have been working full time and attending college since I graduated high school in 1999. By the time I graduate in May 2008 with my bachelor’s degree I will have been attending classes for one year shy of a decade. Two of the biggest reasons I have been going to college for so long is due to my profound hearing impairment and social anxiety. My hearing impairment makes it difficult to follow lecture in classes and my social anxiety make it difficult for me to even go to campus. However, the good news is that I now have a cochlear implant and have lost 135 pounds, both of which have dramatically improved my life. The weight loss has reduced my social anxiety to normal, and the cochlear implant I received has afforded me the ability to hear and understand in ways I never thought possible after loosing 90% of my hearing in both ears when I was only 4 ½ years old. I’ll never take for granted the newfound feeling I now have of feeling like I can function normally in society.
If I were awarded $400 from National Payday I would
use it towards purchasing my college ring, which I am now eligible to receive. In my eyes, the beautiful gold ring has always been a symbol of accomplishment and besides the degree I will have earned after I graduate, the ring will make the last 8 years of my life that I’ve spent in classes truly worthwhile.
