I would spend the $400.00 giving my best friend and love of my life the one thing he has been wanting since he has been old enough to look out a car window. A real honest to goodness train ride. My best friend is 5 years old and his name is Taevin. It has been my joy and pleasure to be a part of his life since he was born. In fact I was present at his birth and my arms were the first arms he felt when he was delivered. He is a child that was never wanted by his mother and who never really knew his father but always wanted by me. At three days old he came home from the hospital to live with me until his mother could get her self together to raise him. Nine months later she presented herself and took him to live with her. Unfortunately his home life was a mess from that day on. Christmas and Summers and every holiday he spends with me. He is more my child than any child I could ever carry. Despite his home life or maybe because of it Taevin is a very lovable and funny kid smart and has a very big heart in a pint size body. He loves Thomas the Train, Trucks, and cars. More than anything he loves trains. I have spent countless hours playing with his toy train sets and taking him to train shows when they come in the area. I am the sole provider for his needs. I make sure he has warm clothing in the winter and comfortable clothing in the summer. Providing for two homes is difficult but the most important thing is that he is never without. The one gift I have always wanted to give him is a train ride To take him as far east as the train will go and back again. To be able to give him that and watch him discover the world I know would mean the everything to him. It would be my way of thanking him being the best part of me and my life.

My best friend is my husband Korbin. We have been together for 20 years and each year we seem to hit more and more obsticals. We have 3 beautiful daughters, 16, 12 and 1 1/2 yrs. Korbin never does anything for himself. When his grandmother passed away he used the little bit of money we got and bought the girls clothes. We will grab a bite to eat, but he will not eat, to save money. He never thinks about himself. When our oldest daughter turned 16, we had to get an additional car, because Korbin and I were unable to take time off work to pick up the other girls from school or the sitter. Korbin drives a 1989 Honda Prelude, we could have given that car to my daughter but he wanted something safer for her to drive, his car has a cracked windshield and the power sterring unit has gone out, so it's difficult to drive. So he continues to drive the older broken down car so that our daughter has a safer car to drive. If I could I would get those two items fixed for him. I want him to be in a safe car that he can be proud of. He always takes care of us, I would love to take care of him.

My husband and I met our friends Jimmy and Marie about 5+ years ago. We met them at church and they have been such an encouragment to us. Being new to the church and young in our faith, they have helped us along the way so much by just being our best friends and being there for us whenever we need them. Jimmy works one full time job and 2 part-time jobs to help make ends meet. Marie has never had a job that paid more than $6 or $7 an hour and never had any benefits. They live in an older mill house given to them by his parents. They work so hard to pay their bills, yet have never had much money left over for alot of extras. The house is older and needs alot of work. THeir teenage daughter fell through a hole in her beedroom floor a couple of months ago and thank goodness was not seriously hurt. They had to spend a good bit of money to repair the floor so it wouldn't be dangerous. They are trying to replace the old windows in the house a couple at a time - and the whole house is a fire waiting to happen. It needs desperatley to be completely re-wired for their safety - but, they simply cannot afford it. Marie doesn't have a dryer because the house and wiring is so old, it cannot support one. They do not have central air or heat in the house - they use window units and last summer whenever the window unit in their daughter's room would come on, it would trip the meter box . I am so scared their house is going to burn up one day and someone will be hurt or even killed. Even if they weren't hurt, they could lose all that they have. If I had the $300.00, I would give it them to help with the cost of getting their house re-wired to be more safe for them. They are just precious people and would do anything to help anyone and I would love to help them along the way.

I have two best friends so if I had an extra 300 dollars I would have to split the money up. One of my best friends lives in Vegas I've know her since we were 10 and I'm the godmother to her great niece and nephew. So with the 150 dollars I would have to say I would by her a plane ticket to come out and visit me, but that would be selfish so I would probably buy her a plane ticket to visit her boyfriend that lives in San Diego. If any money left over out of the 150 mail it to her and she can have some spending cash. As far as my other best friend she lives her in Phoenix and is dating a guy that I introduced her to so I would probably give them both a noght out on the town. A fancey resturant, an hour in a limo and then i would set up a desert pinic on top of South Moutain with candles and a blanket and choclate cover strawberries. Since I probably won't have enough money to afford a violinst i would probably play Josh Groban music on a stereo. To end their night they will beable to see the sunset. That is what I would do for my best friends on an extra 300 dollars.

If I had an extra $300 I would give it to my good friend Dawn. Dawn is a very soft spoken person that would actually give you her last. Sometimes I feel that God has put her in my life as my Angel. I have two girls that attend a private school and with unexpected bills and other needs, I have fallen short on cash. I will just be speaking in general about my issues with her (just letting off steam) and the next thing I know she has offered her help. She’s not only a blessing to me but I notice that her other friends loves and cares for her the same way I do. And I realized that she’s not only just an Angel to me, but to others in her life. I would love to have the opportunity to just give her $300 just because. Thank you.

My best friend for 25 years lives only 100 miles away. We both have families, full time jobs, and many bills, making this distance seem very great. If I had $300.00, I would drive to her home on the weekend, pick her and her daughter up. We would then drive to the beach, rent a hotel, and spend the entire weekend frolicking on the beach with our kids. This would be very special for both of us because in our 25 years, one or both of us were usually going through difficult times. We had difficult husbands that sometimes kept us apart. We went to the beach together, once, without men, and it did not turn out well. We both would really thrive after a girls weekend, at the beach, no interruptions.

I would buy my best friend some new clothes. She is a single mother of 3 and spends all of her time and money on her children and not on herself. She has recently (after being single for 2 years) started dating again, and now has a reason (so she says) to dress nice, but as we all know raising 3 children is not cheap, so it's either clothes for her or food and clothing and paying bills for the kids. She always puts herself last and that's admirable. She deserves something nice just for her!

I HAVE A DEAR BESTFRIEND THAT HAS MULTIPLE HEALTH PROBLEMS DUE TO ARTHRITIS AND OTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS. SHE IS IN HER EARLY 40S AND IS SUFFERING DUE TO THE PAIN AND INABILITY TO DO MUCH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. SHE WAS FIRED FROM HER JOB A FEW WEEKS AGO BECAUSE OF A FALL THAT INJURED HER KNEE. SHE MISSED 3 DAYS. HER BOSS FIRED HER BECAUSE OF THIS. PAULA IS IN THE PROCESS OF FIGHTING TO GET HER JOB BACK. HER ATTORNEY HAS FILED GRIEVENCE, ETC. SHE WAS FIRED AGAINST POLICY. SHE FOLLOWED ALL PROCEDURE. SHE HAS A HARD TIME GETTING AROUND DUE TO HER KNEES AND SHAKES UNCONTROLABLEY SO IT LOOKS LIKE HER BOSS WAS LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE TO FIRE HER. OUR CHURCH HAS HELPED HER OUT SOME TO KEEP HER UTILITIES ON AND WE HAVE TRIED TO HELP A LITTLE HERE AND THERE WITH GAS MONEY SO SHE CAN GET TO HER DOCTORS AND ATTORNEY APPOINTMENTS. I WISH WE COULD DO MORE BUT ARE NOT FINANCIALLY ABLE TO. WE DON'T WANT HER TO LOSE HER HOUSE. IT IS HER MOTHERS HOUSE AND SHE HAS STRUGGLED FOR YEARS TO KEEP IT.SHE HAS NO ONE IN HER LIFE BUT US FEW FRIENDS AND HER PETS. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN HER DREAM TO RAISE HORSES ON HER MOMS FARM. THIS EMAIL CAME TO ME TODAY AND I BELIEVE IT WAS A POSSIBLE ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS FOR HELPING PAULA. THANK-YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SUBMIT THIS. TERESA HASBROUCK
