If I had an extra $300 I would help my bestfriend buy some furniture for her new home. She is a single mother and her and her 7 yr old daughter are starting over from scratch.
my friend had a knee replacement she has been out of work for a year she has had a really tough time making ends meet
I make a decent living but my roomate lost his job awhile ago so I have been trying to carry the whole load until he can get a job. It's been tough. I would do anything for him because when my mom got sick he would go and check on her when I couldn't get away from work. Because my money has been tight I have had something hanging over my head that I have tried really hard not to think about. You see, my best friend(other than my roomate) is my dog Gulliver. I have had him for 17 years and he has been the best friend a guy could ever have. No matter how tough things get he is there waiting for me when I get home. He never causes any trouble and just follows me around like I hung the moon. I don't think he is going to make it much longer. He is so old and so tired. I expect any day I might wake up and find that he has passed away in his sleep. He's been with me for so long. He has been right by my side and I want him to always be by my side. I want to be able to have him cremated when he dies and be able to always keep him with me. Right now that would be near impossible to do. I saw a little stone thing you put in your garden and it had a little compartment with a waterproof bottle inside to hold his remains. You can write on it whatever you want and I would keep it forever and put in my garden so he could be near me when I work in it. He always loves to follow me around the yard and usually lays right on top of whatever I am working on. It just won't be the same without him. This way, no matter where I live I could always have him with me. They have little pictures of different dogs. He is a black Lab and that little picture would comfort me greatly after he is gone. When I got him from the pound I just walked in and asked "who is next to go". They brought him out and he ran over and grabbed a tennis ball and dropped it at my feet. Since then I have never had a better friend. I just lost my dad before Christmas and my mom a few years before that. Nobody else has been with me this long. I would do anything to keep him alive but it is just his time. But... it would be nice to have him near me.
Thanks,

Well, I owe my best friend $100.00 so first I would pay her back. Then I would treat her to a day at the spa. To relax and pamper herself. We both lead stressful lives/careers. She retired last year, but has not taken much time to care for herself. It would be great to be able to repay her for all she has done for my children and I. When my mom died in Oct. 2003, I was in New York with her, while my children were back in California, my friend went to the house to comfort them, make sure they got to the airport and then gave each of them "pocket" money! In Nov. 2005 I went to visit my daughter for Thanksgiving, I was "broke" my friend lent me $100, I have been trying to pay it back, each time she said "if you really need it, I can wait!" I will finally be able to pay her back next payday, after a year! It would be extra special to be able to spend another $200 on her. Thank you for considering my entry.
I would spend the $400.00 giving my best friend and love of my life the one thing he has been wanting since he has been old enough to look out a car window. A real honest to goodness train ride. My best friend is 5 years old and his name is Taevin. It has been my joy and pleasure to be a part of his life since he was born. In fact I was present at his birth and my arms were the first arms he felt when he was delivered. He is a child that was never wanted by his mother and who never really knew his father but always wanted by me. At three days old he came home from the hospital to live with me until his mother could get her self together to raise him. Nine months later she presented herself and took him to live with her. Unfortunately his home life was a mess from that day on. Christmas and Summers and every holiday he spends with me. He is more my child than any child I could ever carry. Despite his home life or maybe because of it Taevin is a very lovable and funny kid smart and has a very big heart in a pint size body. He loves Thomas the Train, Trucks, and cars. More than anything he loves trains. I have spent countless hours playing with his toy train sets and taking him to train shows when they come in the area. I am the sole provider for his needs. I make sure he has warm clothing in the winter and comfortable clothing in the summer.
Providing for two homes is difficult but the most important thing is that he is never without. The one gift I have always wanted to give him is a train ride To take him as far east as the train will go and back again. To be able to give him that and watch him discover the world I know would mean the everything to him. It would be my way of thanking him being the best part of me and my life.
