My best friend is working to get off social security disability and bought a little restaurant in Wibaux Montana. She pays nearly her whole social security check every month for mortgage and lives in a storage room in the back while she tries to open her restaurant. She doesn't have a shower or tub and really needs one. I would use the money to help her get a shower and anything left over so she could pay a little on her utility bills.
To be honest my "Best Friend" is my wife. She moved here from New Jersey after we were married back in July 2003, and has had a hard time trying to find employment here in Georgia. She’s the best at taking care of the house and our daughter. With just one income and host of monthly bills, I don’t have the extra cash to treat her to a night out or buy her an unexpected gift. For her patience and love, I would love to take her away for a weekend to let her know how much I appreciate her.
My best friend and constant companion is Miss Hillary. She's a 21 year old quadriplegic with cerebral palsy and I have known her since the day she was born...she's my oldest daughter. I'm a single Mom and have been for the last 9 years. She, along with her twin sisters are the light of my life and the I get my strength to continue on life's journey from all of them. If I had $300 to spend, I would purchase her a new lightweight travel chair so that it would be easier physically to take her out and continue to do the many things that we enjoy doing together as a family. With the money left over, I would treat my twin daughters who are 17 to something special for THEM as they have had to endure many trials and tribulations over the years having a sibling who is physically handicapped and they have NEVER, EVER once complained because they love their sister Hillary as much as I do.
I would try to help my friend make his dream of a lifetime, a reality.
I would pay his buy-in for the satellite tourney to the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
For $300, I could pay for 3 buy-ins. That would be three chances at landing a $10,000 seat at the main event.
How awesome would it be if we both won a seat to the WSOP main event in Vegas?
Let's just say that in this case, what happened in Vegas would definitely stay in Vegas!
If I had an extra $300 to spend on my best friend there is no doubt about what I would buy him. My best friend is my little brother, Brian. Brian is 11 years old, and like all young boys he loves X box. He frequently goes to his friends house that lives a couple of blocks away from us. On October 17th of last year, I will never forget the date, he was walking home from his friends house with his X box and several games in a duffel bag. He was approached by two older kids who insisted he give them the bag. After he refused they showed him a gun and he handed the bag over. They looked through the bag, and as they looked through it my little brother ran. They fired one shot which hit him in the lower part of his back. Fortunately my brother survived and is working everyday to get back to the point he was before the shooting. I have faith that he will fully recover. He doesn't complain about not having his X box at all, but I know he would want nothing more than to get another one. Our family doesn't have the money to replace the one that was stolen. So, if I won the $300 dollars the first thing I would do is buy my little brother is another X box. It would mean the world to him. Thank you.
