My best friends name is Vicki. She is a single mother and she has Lupus. Most days she is fine. But there are other days when she is in a lot of pain. Her muscles and her joints hurt her alot. So if I had $300 to spend on my best friend, on days when she isn't feeling so good and she is having pain, I would treat her to a day at the spa with a hot steam and then a nice long massage. We could make it a girls day out together.
I WOULD BUY MY BEST FRIEND A FUN EVENING OUT. SHE IS A SINGLE MOTHER WITH 2 AND NEVER BUYS HERSELF ANYTHING DUE TO HER FINANCES MUCH LESS GOES OUT TO RELAX AND HAVE FUN. I WOULD PROBABLY TAKE HER OUT TO DINNER AND A CONCERT OR PLAY OR SOMETHING. I WOULD THEN GIVE HER THE REST TO BUY HERSELF MUCH NEEDED BUSINESS CASUAL ATTIRE FOR HERSELF. SHE HAS NOT BOUGHT HERSELF ANYTHING IN OVER A YEAR.
If I had an extra $300, I would buy my best friend a plane ticket to New Orleans for a vacation for the summertime. She has been talking about wanting to visit New Orleans to visit some old friends who she has not seen in awhile. Everyday she calls me to talk about this trip that she wants to take. So I looked up the plane ticket and right now they are $315 to go from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to New Orleans, LA. This extra $300 would brighten up her day and mine to know that I could do something to bring a smile to her face. Right now she can not afford to buy the plane ticket because she full time but she is paying other expenses and paying for college courses that she is currently taking at the local community college.
If I had an extra $300, I would buy something for my best friend that they truly wanted or needed. I would use the money to let him/her know that I truly appreciate having them as my best friend. A luxurious day at a spa is one way that I would spend the $300. Seeing the look of relaxation on my friend's face would be worth so much more than the money I used to pay for it. Another way I would spend the money is to buy something for my friend that would be a necessity. At the present time, my best friend will be starting her new job next week, and she is in need of casual/business clothes. She has been ill, and had to stop working; therefore she doesn't have the means to buy her manditory wardrobe. I would use the money to buy her at least a week of outfits so she would not only be appropriately dressed, but will feel confident and have her self-worth. Having my best friend look professional while returning back to the career world is something that I would be more than happy to spend $300 on. She is definitely worth it.
I have a friend that has been suffering from asthma for quite some time now. He tends to get severe asthma attacks and has to be rushed to the emergency. During one of his trips to the emergency room, EMS put him on the vetilator with the power full blast to get air into his lungs. Now both his lungs are covered with pin size holes which led him to develop enphesema. Now he is limited to walking and unable to work because of his condition. In the mean time until he is able to get medicaid to cover for his medical expenses, he has to pay for his medications out of pocket which makes it difficult when you are unable to work. So, if I had an extra $300, I would definetly contribute it towards his medications.
