My Dear Sister Leanna is one of my best friends. She recently got a new job and needs to move from the DV Shelter that she and my 17 year old neice have lived for the last year. She needs money for their first last and deposit for an apartment. I would contribute $300 to her move out of the shelter. She gave birth to my neice when she was 14 years old and is now a graduate student and starting her new job. I told her to "hang in" there for the job and "now hang" in the there for the apartment. I am so proud of her but wish I could help her. SO, if you guys pick me, that is what I will do with the cash.
Thanks for having this contest. This is really cool!

IF I HAD AN EXTRA $300.00 I'D HELP MY MOM BUY SOME NEEDED THINGS FOR MY NIECE THAT WE HELP RAISE. FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS NOW SHE AND MY DAD HELP MY BROTHER WHO HAS MULTIPLE MYELOMA WITH HIS SIX YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. DUE TO HIS ILLNESS THEY HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER STATE FOR TREATMENTS AND TWO STEM CELL TRANSPLANT, WHILE HERE THREE YEARS AGO HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER HAD REMAINED HOME BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T BE AROUND HER DAD IN CASE OF MAKING HIM SICKER DURING THE TRANSPLANT STAGE. HIS TRANSPLANT TOOK PLACE NEAR CHRISTMAS AND ON CHRISTMAS EVE IS WIFE WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT WHICH KILLED HER INSTANTLY, LEAVING BEHIND A THREE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND SICK HUSBAND. MY PARENTS WHO ARE BOTH IN THEIR SIXTIES AND ON LIMITED INCOMES {SOCIAL SECURITY}ARE HAVING TO HELP TAKE CARE OF MY SICK BROTHER AND HIS DAUGHTER,THEY MOVED IN WITH THEM SINCE HE CAN'T STAY ALONE. THEY NEVER COMPLAIN OR MIND BECAUSE THIS IS THEIR SON AND GRANDCHILD AND LOVE TO DO IT BUT I'VE SEEN THE FINANCIAL STRAIN IT HAS PUT THEM IN BY NOT ONLY HELPING THEM BUT THE ADDED COST OF PAYING FOR HIM AND A CARE GIVER {MY MOM} TO FLY TWICE A YEAR NOW TO ANOTHER STATE FOR HIS TREATMENTS.I HAVE A DAUGHTER WHO JUST FINISHED COLLEGE AND ANOTHER IN HIGH SCHOOL SO MY FUNDS HAVE BEEN SCARCE FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS AS WELL; SO IF I HAD THIS EXTRA MONEY I WOULD GIVE IT TO MY MOM WHO IS MY BEST FRIEND TO HELP WITH ANY OF THE UNEXPECTING FINANCES THAT ARISE FROM DAY TO DAY FOR THEM.
If I had an extra $300, I would take my best friend out for a night on the town. My best friend is my mom. I would love to get two tickets to some kind of show and spend the night in a hotel. She is always so busy taking care of my 85-year-old grandfather that she rarely has time for herself. Since my grandfather lives with us, she is always worrying about his meals, appointments, and insulin shots. My grandmother, the true matriarch, died in 1994. Being the eldest girl of nine, my mom has been donned as the “matriarch” of our family. She is constantly being bombarded with issues the family throws on her. It would be so great to get her out for a day and have her concentrate on herself an no one else. She really deserves to get away for a while, but $300 will only take care of a day or two. I wish I could get her away for a week, just so she can relax and rest.
