The worst way to use a payday loan is to get when you don't really need to (like for a new outfit)and when you get paid you don't pay it off and keep borrowing it, over and over. The best way is to only borrow when you truly need to, and to pay it off when you get paid.

I think the worst way to utilize a pay day loan is by wasting the money on material items. I once had a payday loan just to go shopping but then I had clothes and still had no money when I had to pay it back. Pay day loans were created to help us in a time of need, not to splurge on items we normally cant afford. I highly recommend that these are used for emergencies only.
