Having a substantial credit score and credit report are very important, and to do that you need to be able to control your finances. It's vital to take responsibility for your money, and to not let yourself get into troubles. You know what you have, how much you make, and you know how you can spend. It's important to be able to maintain your finances regardless of how you are spending.You should never spend out of your range when it comes to credit cards or cash. Although it's fun to go crazy every once in a while, and purchase things you absolutely know you don't need, you should really try and discourage yourself from that. An excellent motto to live by is “If you don't love it or need it, don't buy it.” You should be maintain your daily finances and expenses with ease, as long as you know that how to spend wisely.
If you do not spend wisely and let your finances get out of hand, that's when you've got problems. If you use a credit card to purchase something, you should make sure that you have enough money to pay for it or you will have enough within a few days of the purchase. If you let your credit go, you have the risk of being unable to be approved for large loans.
Many of the mistakes that we make with our credit happen at a young age, mostly because we are naive and don't know how easy it is to ruin it. You don't have to be like the majority, you can take care of your finances, by doing this you will ensure yourself money in any emergency.
If you don't have credit, and an unforeseen emergency happens, you could be out of luck. If you have good credit, and there is an emergency where you need money, you will have no trouble taking out a loan of any size. People want to help those that help themselves. If a company sees you don't care about your credit, they will not care about helping you. So take some responsibility, and realize that you and you only are responsible for your finances, so keep them in order.
