Getting out Of Credit Card Debt

There's only one way to get out of credit card debt and not ruin your credit at the same time: pay more than the minimum payment. You can do this even if you living paycheck to paycheck as long as you've maintained a good credit history. If you find that difficult now, you can get no credit check loans to help you pay your bills on time and build up that credit history. However, they too should be paid back on time to build a good credit history.

With a good credit history you have many options to help you dig out of debt. You can call up the lender and request a lower rate on the card. If they agree, you can continue to make the same payments you made before they lowered the rate and it will be like paying more than the minimum payment. You will pay off your debt faster with a lower rate, if you don't adjust your payment lower too.

If the lender refuses to give you a lower rate, start looking at other credit card offers to see if you can transfer your balance. Try to find one that does not have transfer fees and a lower rate than the card you currently have. Maintain or raise your payment and you are on your way to becoming debt-free.

Try to avoid making purchases with your cards until they are either at a low balance or paid off. You can do this by freezing the cards in a container of ice. Next time you need them to make a purchase, you will have to thaw them out and that will keep you from making impulse purchases with them. However, you will still have them handy in case of an emergency.

Another way to fund an emergency is to use no credit check loans. If you are working to clear your credit history, you can still get no credit check loans to help tide you over while your situation settles and you manage to get yourself out of debt.
