Living Only For A Guaranteed Payday Is Living A Life On Loan
This world is not a place where the fulfillment of one’s hopes and dreams are guaranteed. It is easy to state the usual litany of following the rules, being good to others and so forth, but it is a far more difficult thing to actually accomplish such tasks. How often do you feel that you have put your own beliefs or ethics on loan for the sake of getting through a particular situation? How often do you feel that you have to loan out your beliefs for the sake of a steady payday? All of us compromise in our daily lives, usually with the hope that we are guaranteed an opportunity one day of being able to live a life without such compromises.
To put your life on loan to an uncertain future based on what you would like to see happen is absolutely unnecessary. This is a world of compromise, and anyone who has found a sense of peace in her or his life can attest to this fact. This is not to say that such a road is an easy one to travel, but simply that it is a clear one to follow. Basically, if you want to feel good about where your payday comes from, along with all the other aspects of your life, you must surrender to the fact that you are not alone in this world, and that all other creatures under the sun have as much right to live her/his/its life as you do. Understanding this will not eliminate your need for a payday, nor will it mean that you are guaranteed of success in all that you do. It just means that you will be able to live your life in the present tense, rather than living your life on loan to the past or the future.
The only thing in this world that is guaranteed is birth and death. Everything will have a beginning, and everything will have an end. In the middle comes payday after payday, loan after loan, love after love, frustration after frustration and so on. Life is not simply a series of events, guaranteed of some positive or negative result, dependent on how you lived your life. Life is just living. One is conceived, one lives, one dies. This is life, with nothing more in it guaranteed than that. Essentially, by letting go of the need for the idea of guaranteed things, such as a steady payday, or the perfect love of a mate, one can absolve oneself of the loan of life, and simply live.
